Make a Scene: Outer Space allows children to enjoy creating their own amazing scenes in outer space.

There are five scenes and children can add stickers such as space creatures, space ships, astronauts and much more. Tap on the sticker in the selection area and drag it to the scene while you hear the name of the sticker. Tap on the sticker at any time to hear it's noise.

I have used this app to teach a wide range of language skills including following instructions, vocabulary and story telling.

Format: Colourful cartoon image scenes with calming, relaxation music in the background. Cleverly, the stickers appear bigger in the foreground and smaller in the background. You can tap on the animal to change it's orientation so that it looks left or right.

Sharing: Take a photo of your scene and share it on Facebook, email or Twitter.

Leisure apps are games designed for fun but can still offer a wonderful opportunity to support the student's learning.
Bloom's Thinking Process
Bloom's Taxonomy is classification system used to explain the behaviours important in learning. Apps range from simple memory tasks such as flashcards apps through to creative apps which ask students to create an original story or video.
Bloom's Creating
The student creates new ideas, products or ways of viewing things. Activities include making, animating, designing, constructing, planning, producing and inventing.

Authenticity
Authenticity looks at the manner in which skills are learnt. Authentic apps use real life or genuine activities. Students learn in context rather than in a contrived or rote fashion (such as flashcards).
Feedback
Feedback needs to be specific and result in improved performance. Feedback should be supportive and encouraging rather than negative. Data should be available to support decision making.

Differentiation is the ability to customise the app to suit the student. The ability to record you voice, customise text, add pictures and alter settings enables individualisation of the app.
User Friendliness
User friendliness is a measure of how well a student can use the app independently. Some apps are simply intuitive to use. Others include audio or visual prompts which support the student.
Motivation
All apps are engaging the first time they are played. However, students with diverse learning needs may need to return to the app many times. Motivating apps offer rewards, games or incentives.
Early Language Games

Developer's Description
The animated sticker app for children with descriptive audio and fun sound effects! Join over half a million users already enjoying Make a Scene! Over 100 million scenes created!

- WHY PARENTS AND TEACHERS LOVE THIS APP

Make a Scene Outer Space is a fun interactive game that engages children’s natural sense of creativity. It is aimed primarily at pre-school age children, but will provide hours of entertainment for children (and adults!) of all ages. Helping to develop vocabulary, fine motor skills, co-ordination and creative thinking, Make a Scene offers a great way for children to play and learn at the same time.

Make a Scene Outer Space uses drag and drop interactions, descriptive audio, fun sound effects and engaging animations to create an entertaining, educational platform. Children will have endless fun using their imagination to create their very own outer space scenes.

- WHY CHILDREN LOVE IT TOO!

The game features lots of fun stickers such as aliens, spaceships, astronauts, planets and other objects found in space. By dragging and dropping these digital, animated ‘stickers’ onto the different backgrounds available, your child can create a large number of unique scenes. A clear voice-over reads the name of each item aloud, and is accompanied by fun animations and sound effects where possible.

- NO MORE ARGUMENTS!

Are your children always arguing over who’s turn it is to use the tablet/phone? We have added multi-touch to our apps so that children can add or move multiple stickers. Great for playing along with children or allowing multiple children to play simultaneously without arguments about whose turn it is!

- SHARE WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS

As parents, we’ve all been there… your child has created a work of art and you would love to proudly display it on Facebook or simply send copies to family. This is of course difficult without getting the camera, scanner or photocopier out! With Make a Scene, once your child has created their masterpiece, at the click of a button, you can share it with friends & family via Facebook, Twitter, email, or simply save a snapshot to your device.
