Set the sound sensitivity on Librarian. When the noise or voice level reaches that level the screen turns red and the Librarian says 'shh'.
I have used Librarian to help students to self monitor their voice volume. Voice volume is a social skill which can be challenging for students on the spectrum.
This is also great to use when connected to an interactive whiteboard. As the classroom noise slowly increases, the room is flooded with red and the students stop when they hear 'shhh'. Great fun! |

Wish you could automatically tell the people around you to be quiet while you're trying to concentrate on an important task? Want to wake up at the slightest noise around you in an unfamiliar environment? Librarian for the iPhone does all of this (and more coming soon)! Simply set the audio level sensitivity and tap start to begin. Once the noise surrounding you exceeds the set sensitivity level, those around you will be politely notified with a "shhhh".
