Sound Touch is just so engaging for young children and versatile too. The pictures in this app are wonderful.

This app shows 360 images organised into categories. The picture are of animals, vehicles, musical instruments, birds and household things.

You can tap on a cat and then continue to tap five times to see five different cute cat picture with accompanying sounds. The app opens up straight into the activity. I use if for early speech sounds - "moo, baa" and teaching vocabulary. This is a favourite amongst my young students.

The words can be spoken in a choice of 32 languages.
