Review Comments
Choice Board Creator allows you to make your own choice boards and storyboards with up to six pictures. You can make a up to fifty choice boards for each activity.  As this is a free app, Choice Board Creator is a great app to introduce children to making boards.

Choice Pictures
Tou can add photos from your library or camera. This app has a useful feature which allows you to change the size of each picture box.  I would also like to see more editing capabilities such as the ability to reorder the pictures. I like the way you can include a blank choice as a distractor. This is very useful when teaching choice making.

Voice
You can record your voice on to each picture. It is a little trick as you need to time your recording to start as soon as you finish typing in the name of your recording. I wish there was a "start recording" button.

Text
You can make text only choice cards. I wish you could add text to pictures.

Authenticity
Authenticity looks at the manner in which skills are learnt. Authentic apps use real life or genuine activities. Students learn in context rather than in a contrived or rote fashion (such as flashcards).

Feedback needs to be specific and result in improved performance. Feedback should be supportive and encouraging rather than negative. Data should be available to support decision making.

All apps are engaging the first time they are played. However, students with diverse learning needs may need to return to the app many times. Motivating apps offer rewards, games or incentives.

Domain Score Details
Learning Connection 4
This app is very useful for introducing children to choice making. Children can start with a choice of two pictures and slowly build up to a choice of six pictures. This app would benefit the addition of text on each picture.
Authenticity 3
The child makes a choice between items by pressing the picture. This usually occurs in a real, everyday situations. Then the picture enlarges to full screen and the voice recording is heard.
Feedback 1
Feedback is not provided to the child. Other storyboard apps allow the child to hear the choice they have selected which provides some feedback that they have made the correct choice.
Differentiation 3
This app has many options. You can choose the number of boxes which appear (up to 6), box size, add pages, add your own pictures. You can choose either picture or text. It would be nice if you could add text to a picture. You can add audio too.
User Friendliness 2
The child would need to be literate or have an adult helper to use this app. After selecting 'Start an activity' a written list is shown. Again, each activity only has a written sentence at the top.
Motivation 2
The child would need rewards or motivators to keep returning to this app.
